WunderVinyl wrapping film
WunderVinyl’s gloss is on totally different level, because of the multilayer polymeric structure and PET backing “paper”. Durabilities however are very similar to cast wrapping films — its all about how you wash and maintain your wrapped car.
The installation needs a slightly different technique, because WunderVinyl is thicker. What comes to the installation, if you have only installed cast wrapping films earlier, we recommend you to pay focus on spreading the stretch to a bigger area, using also shrinking technique on edges and using dry de-tack solution to adjust the glue’s initial tack on different surfaces, when you give your first go to WunderVinyl.
Of course! Besides cars, WunderVinyl can be used to wrap boats, ATV’s, laptops, fridges etc. When you are wrapping a boat, keep in mind that vinyl wraps should not be installed under the water level. It is also a good idea to seal the edges of the wrap with edge sealer when used in marine conditions.
Yes, our films are very stretchable. Remember that you can also shrink film after you have stretched it — this gives you a much more room to play.
Some times vinyl wraps stick to plastic surface and sometimes not. Not only the plastic quality affects, but also the age and surface quality of plastic can play a big role when trying to lay vinyl wrap on plastic. Like most of the other manufacturers, we don’t give a warranty for films which are installed to plastic surfaces.
A wrapped car should be maintained just like a painted car. It is a good idea to apply a ceramic coating or wax on top of the wrap — just like you would do for a newly painted car. Washing plays a big role on films durability. If you wash and clean it regularly, the film will last much longer. For washing you can use normal car shampoo.
